RESPIRATORY TOXICOLOGY DOSSIER

The lungs are a primary interface with our environment. The respiratory system is essential for the exchange of oxygen & carbon dioxide, communication, and fighting disease.

This chapter explores the basic physiology of the lungs and the effects of gases, particles and other toxicants on the lungs.
